What’s been happening:

After "retirement" in 2007 I started seriously writing fiction. My first novel pits a nonviolent Denmark against the Nazis beginning in 1940 (I discovered fiction is a lot harder than technical writing). I am also working with a number of colleagues from all over the world on an Operating System for Planet Earth that is intended to address the mess that we humans have made of our environment, economy, government, etc. Certainly a quixotic undertaking if ever there was one, but then I have always been an incurable optimist. And, as my minister wife likes to remind me, God is still in charge. Perhaps the question for us is not what is feasible (or even what is possible), but rather, what needs to be done. In my spare time I tend my vegetable garden and try to keep up with numerous grandchildren.
